Pictorial space

Pictorial Space explores how we shape our understanding of reality, and how the world around us quietly shapes us in return. The work creates an experience of space that encourages viewers to notice their immediate connection to objects, light, and their surroundings. Natural light plays a central role, its constant shifts in brightness, colour, and direction gently transforming how the space is experienced. Shadows and reflections move across the surfaces, creating a dynamic relationship between viewer and environment.

The large wooden structure acts as both frame and open field, inviting people to step into a space where perception is always changing. This sense of fluidity reflects one of the core threads in my practice: the interplay between presence and absence.
