About the artwork: Peppers explores my interest in abstracting familiar shapes and encouraging a different way of seeing everyday objects. Through experimenting with shape, tone, and contrast, I enjoyed playing with how far the peppers could be simplified while still remaining recognisable. The work invites the viewer to see a familiar object in a new way, focusing on the relationships between forms, light, and shadow rather than the object itself.
